REAL IS BETTER than perfect
Documentary photography is a complex language made up of moments, connection, intimacy, light, composition and voice of the photographer.
Sometimes we tend to think this photographic genre is simple by reducing it to photographs that can be taken by everyone..
The most important aspect…? If you shoot, you’re not in your family photos.
Many people worry about the messy house or chaos … I answer that everything is fine as that’s that the beauty of the reportage: not having filters, not having to look perfect. I am a mom too and, from the first child, I know well the transformation that a house that hosts children undergoes. The house is a living organism that pulsates together with our emotions, our tensions, our postponements for fatigue, and in chaos it fills up with colors that draw our daily lives … not a design catalog.
